My mom always used salt, pour some onto the weeds, not on a rainy day though! Or else just get some Round-up spray.

Use a Trilox type product from Ortho. The container will also say something like "total vegitation killer". This will be effective for about a year. Of course, be careful with this product. Use when its been dry for a few days and you don't expect rain for at least a couple hourse. Avoid runoff into your lawn!

Dribble or spray kerosene on it that will get rid of the grass but the tree-huggers will hate you because you have ruined their day!
