My mom always used salt, pour some onto the weeds, not on a rainy day though! Or else just get some Round-up spray.

Use a Trilox type product from Ortho. The container will also say something like "total vegitation killer". This will be effective for about a year. Of course, be careful with this product. Use when its been dry for a few days and you don't expect rain for at least a couple hourse. Avoid runoff into your lawn!

Dribble or spray kerosene on it that will get rid of the grass but the tree-huggers will hate you because you have ruined their day!

Boiling water or round up. Boiling water works best be careful.

round up or HOT water also works. but round up is your best bet and last longer
