i cant find a way to buy them without using a credit card. we dont own a credit card because it caused problems with my parent. in other words "almost divorced"

Since almost everyone is near a Wal-Mart, you can load a gift card at any Wal-Mart and purchase through www.walmart.com with it. They will send it directly to your house.
Just be sure you have enough on the card to cover shipping and handling

You might be able to pay using money order or check, lots of places also take Paypal. You can also use a debit card. But let me be the first person to jump in the line of fire about credit cards - they get a bad stigma from people who are irresponsible with them. As long as you are careful in not spending what you don't have, you'll be fine. I am a huge advocate of using credit cards over debit cards. I am even considering at this point - to change my debit card to just an ATM card. Debit cards are really not as safe as credit cards - if someone gets a hand on your debit card and goes on a shopping spree then you are pretty much screwed. Whereas almost all major credit cards have 100% protection against fraud. The good credit cards also give you good perks and bonuses like cash back, travel rewards and ect. not to mention builds credit. If you are that concerned, you can even start with a secured credit card where you have to put down a collateral. Bottom line: a credit card is your best friend if you use it correctly. Treat it like a debit card and it will do you wonders.

try Columbia house or BMG. You can order movies by filling out the information online and mailing a money order.
Or you can always get a pre-paid debit card from CVS/Walgreens, places like that and the day you buy it ($14.95) you'll get a code to start using it
