The CLS was new in '06, and AMG models are limited production; even if you can find a used one, you aren't going to save much money. Also consider why someone might be selling a low-mileage car like that (accident?). You're probably better served, if your heart is set on the CLS, by getting a new one.

Personally, I prefer the E55, which has been around longer. It's the same size/class as the CLS, but you're more likely to find a used one that really saves you money, and with the E65 coming out, you might get a slightly better deal.

Buy used. The resale value of a new car drops immediately after purchasing. The only reason to buy new might be to get specific options on the car that you want. As for the warranty the CLS55 AMG is still a new enough model that any used car you buy should still be under warranty unless the current owned has altered it in any way that would void the warranty.

Wether you get a new or used benz , do you know yu can also buy them with a diesel motor > so then its an easy conversion to get it to run on vegetable oil and you dont need to use petrol then, the only problem with it was that if you live in a cold country where it freezes- well the vege oil can freeze also..

the more people opt out to want to use alternative fuels in their life, then you start to make some sway with our governments, and stop them raping this earth of resources. there is some really sick stuff going on...

anyway back to the benz- i remember one of my ex his mother had a 1961 benz had a soft top and was a nice solid looking construction.. looked like a movie stars car i always thought.. the older cars are made of a much stronger metal, and i feel some safer in them than what the more modern cars are made outta. do you konw that plastic feeling bumpa bars on modern cars is made from recycle ice cream containers...

do you think there is nicer more stylish cars around than mercedes.. like if you got the money.. you can have fun customising it yourself? mustang > monaro .. whatever is your choice.

nice choice! i like your style, anyways get a used one since amg retains its value pretty much specially the nice ones and basically depreciation is just for the first year. then its sort of taps out for a while before it losses its value.

If you can afford a new one, get a new one. That way you know what you're getting.
