I've heard after applying this update - people had problems restarting their computers and some programs not working. How true is this.

If you have Service Packs 1 and 2 installed, you don't need any updates. These updates are for the unregistered/cracked versions of windows.

Its a good idea to stay away from the updates regardless as they do cause unpredictable problems with Windows. I had automatic updates until the updates took away every device in device manager so that my PC wouldn't work.

Sometimes an update will be corrupted during the download. Go the the MS update site and click on Update History. Find this one and click on the links provided. It will take you to the download page for it.

Or, just type the Update notice number in the search window and let that take you to it. The download and it should be good.

No. You need to get these updates. They are good.

Microsoft talks all about it. If you do install it and have a problem, there is a resolution. I haven't had any problems

my computer is fully updated and has no problems.
