Fresh basil isn't exactly fresh after you freeze it but it's a great way to keep it for longer periods of time. It tastes just about as good as fresh too.

A little bit of lemon juice with water will stop any fruit or vegetables from going brown, that's why all the fresh cut stuff at restaurant's isn't brown.

put the basil in a vase water like you do with flowers and then put it in the fridge.

re-cut the ends just like you would flowers and keep it in a glass or vase of water in the fridge
