The only way to get away from that is distraction. Think about something else or find something else to keep you busy. I have many reasons I can be and remain angry for a long time, but by remaining angry and allowing it to be consuming, I am doing much more harm to myself than to the person or situation that created the problem in the first place. If the anger is difficult to get away from, I find it helpful to engage in music, exercise or journaling about the issue, or discussing the issue with somebody else who I am confident can assist me in addressing the issue with positive steps.

I agree with "Angela B"...............what helped me the most was going to www.joycemeyers.org and finding anything on anger issues and ordering it from her website I also watch her on TV every morning while I am getting ready for work she is awesome and she tells it like it is.....I had anger issues for many years and I wil always fight it within but NOW (thank God!) it no longer controls me and I choose to think happy thoughts instead of automatically dwelling on what has raged me! Thank you Lord!!

First, know that there is a difference between anger and rage. Second, relax, anger is harder on you than on that thing which bothers you.
Forgive, not just for that that bothers you, but for your own well-being.

Put a pillow on the floor and take a tennis racket and beat it and scream out what you are feeling. I am totally serious. I learned it in a group therapy class.

I yell I scream and pitch a huge fit and I just feel like killing some one and when I can I let out my agressions on a punching bag.

How do I deal with my anger? Not very well. There's not much more to say about it than that.

i just let it out. i like to be by myself when i'm angry and i just let my feelings out because what's the point of keeping them in? I cry, i scream(not too loud), i write it down on a journal, talk to someone about it, or just spend time alone in my room.
