My wireless access point doesn't quite reach the computer with the wireless-g pci adapter card. Therefore I'd like to extend the wireless pci adapter antenna using a wire extension. What product can I buy that extends this pci adapter antenna wire?

I would buy a higher gain antenna, but the situation I have is that room with the wireless pci adapter card in it is sort of enclosed and doesn't get any signals. My plan is to drill a hole and run the wire outside the room in order to pick up the signal. In this particular case a higher gain antenna won't change anything, I need a wireless pci adapter wire extension.

in a lot of cases the metallic case of a desktop computer acts like a magnetic shield so it leads to a weak signal because the antenna of the PCI card is hidden behind the case. one solution is using a separate antenna.

2 possible solutions are these

I would recommend purchasing a higher gain antenna for your wireless access point. They are very cheap and will strengthen your wireless signal over a larger range. This way if you ever add new computers or laptops you will not have to worry so much about your wireless signal being dropped in certain areas.

Cheaper to buy a more powerful antenna for the router to give better coverage all round.
