the best(cheapest) way to plan europe is to plan every detail before hand and book your tickets accordingly..
do it now..if u r sure of ur plans.

Definitely prebook - especially this year. Everywhere is so busy due to the world cup. I know you are not going to October but there are a lot of people travelling to Europe this year for the world cup and then staying on. If you prebook, you get to pay in your own currency and you know exactly how much you have spent. You don't need to budget when you get there for accommodation as it is already taken care of.

If you get lucky, you may be able to bargain with them at the hotel for a lower rate. However, you can't be set on one place to stay. You never know when availability will be gone.

I would book in advance if possible.
