how does fiberglass insulation compare to reflective insulation?

I want to insulate a house and I am not sure which insulation is the best. I live a little north of the Mason-Dixon line. I may also want to do the same to a pole building.

fiberglass, cheaper cost effective and suitable for most insulation needs. reflective, bit more expensive and more high maintenance but do perform better if properly maintained.

This is to broad, are you using it in an attic, car, boat, or your hunting cap?
