i mean not one religion founder would have thought that he was starting a new religion and just taught people about GOD. LIke Christ was a saviour and just spread his message. Prophet Mohammad just spread his teaching, Buddha also just wanted to spread the light and there are many other examples. Then why don't we follow the message of all these great people and why have they changed into strict religions?i mean why do we have a psychology of dividing ourselves up?

Because we have opinions which divide us... the more we can focus on the common ground we do have the better off we will be. Yes organized religions also divide us, that's why I believe in God, but I don't get into organized religion... the Catholics the Protestants, the Baptists, etc... all don't like each other. Is that what God wants us to do? NO!

Opinions are the poison, the stain and the disease of the human mind... seek not to judge or understand everything... just accept somethings as different than you and I and move on peacefully!

Actually, religions bring people together, AND divide. There's a bit of dichotomy with religion. At the local level, churches are often instrumental in creating a sense of community and belonging amongst its members. But at the same time, exclusion divides a churches members from other religions, even other churches of the same religion.

Why do we do this? Entropic forces are everywhere. It's not only part of human nature, it's part of the universe as a whole. We are merely repeating variations of behaviors within matter that have existed since the Big Bang.

It's not good. It's not bad. It just is.

God clearly loves diversity, He makes us all with our own personal point of view. He must have a reason for this, atho it does seem to make us not get along really well, it's true. I also think that He wants us to think things out for ourselves, make choices, learn to accept other people even when we disagree. It would just be too easy if we naturally thought alike, no challenges, little chance for growth. How could you learn anything new if everyone was totally unified? We need diversity, it would just be nice if we were a little more tolerant.
