Actually, you are going during one of the times with the lowest crowds. Most people that go during that time of year either go for Chirstmas or Thanksgiving. You fall in between and the crowds, and weather, are really great.

You are definitely going to have lines and things, but compared to the rest of the year, it will be nothing!!

Have fun!

Surprisingly you're actually going when Disney is slower. now I'm not saying that you'll be the only one there but there will be less of a crowd. One of the slowest times for Disney is in between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's also a great time because there are the Christmas decorations up.

I live near Disney, and we took some visiting family to Magic Kingdom around Dec 15th last year, and it was MOBBED. I've been there many times in the thick of the summer tourist season and never seen it that bad. You're better off going in early November or after the Christmas holidays; mid to late January.

Here is an excellent website that I use EVERY time we go to Disney. It has a crowd level calendar that I have found to be extremely accurate...
www.touringplans.com
Also the book The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World has good crowd level suggestions.

CROWDED. I was down in Orlando during the first two weeks of December last year on business. So, on one Saturday, I thought I'd go to Disney World, since I asked myself, "How crowded can it be?"

VERY CROWDED!

The only solace I had was that the company paid for the trip, so it cost me nothing out of pocket, and I didn't take my boy with me. Otherwise, I'd need a vacation from that vacation.

If you can hold off until February, you'll be in much better shape.

You can go to the Disney website, look under resorts for the off-peak season rates. These are the times that the park is a LITTLE less crowded. I like to go in mid-September. I have been in April/May and July/August....crowds were almost as unbearable as the heat & humidity. September...all the kids go back to school....people fear hurricanes.....hardly anyone there (compared to spring & summer). I am going this September and also planning a trip in December...maybe I will see you there!

that isn't the most proper time of three hundred and sixty 5 days to bypass, even if that is unquestionably no longer the worst. Be prepared for unpredictable climate and rain. in case you get to the parks early (like at the same time as they open), you are able to hit the more effective commonplace rides first and steer away from some wait time. also take income of the quick bypass device. that is loose, and it helps with the truly lengthy lines. don't be too discouraged through the lines. The time is going quick, and Disney is legendary for element, so there is plenty to examine even at the same time as waiting in line. search for hidden Mickeys! (Mickey Mouse shapes hidden in surroundings) have relaxing on your holiday!

I think it is a great time to go. It gets really busy the weekend before Christmas. I went last year on the 18th and had a blast until Christmas eve--it got VERY BUSY!!! Make sure and buy tickets to the VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY. It is pricey but only like 20,000 people are at the Magic Kingdom from 7pm-12am. You can ride all the rides, meet characters and you also get free cookies/hot cocoa and a free 5X7 picture of your family.
