Reach under the sink and unplug it. Remove the rubber splash gaurd from the sink drain. Pull out any large objects stuck inside. Pour a heavy duty cleaner into the drain and let it sit. Rinse.

1. Unplug the unit.

2. You will find a Allen head wrench usually tapped to the side of the unit. Find the Allen head screw located at the bottom of the unit and turn it clockwise. This will tell you if the motor is jammed.

3. If you have a clog, you might have to remove the outlet located on the side of the unit. Remove this outlet (a medium sized screwdriver usually works - a ratchet set works better). Be sure to place a bucket underneath of the outlet as it will leak.

Run some chipped ice through it....then follow with a lemon or orange peel. Finally, put a half cup of baking soda in and run lots and lots of hot water down the drain with the disposal running. NEVER put anything down there, like a rag or your hand, or a knife etc.

First, unplug it!! You can stick your hand down in the sink, and remove what you can. If that doesnt work, look at the device, there should be one screw on a large clamp...loosen the srew, and untwist the disposal from its base. Pull it out, and go from there. You may wanna wear rubber gloves, it can be pretty foul!!!
