Who was a better President. GWB or Bill Clinton?

You're going to get so many different answers all based on all sorts of different political views...
But for me personally, I don't like everything that Bush has done domestically (and no, I'm not talking about the supposed spying program or any of that rabble) but he has been the best during this time of war.
As far as Clinton goes...he commited treason. He sold secrets, used presidental order unconstituionaly...but I have nothing actually against the man, just his policies and his actions that he did as president.
I am a Conservative Federalist...I am for small federal government and for individual state rule. I believe that almost any issue can be handled by the state in accordance to what the people want. So as of right now, I'm frankly mad at all the toe stepping going on in the federal government. This country was founded as a represenative republic and as of right now, this country is moving to the ideology of a democracy. And don't get me started on the activist courts...lol.
But as to your question who is better? I would have to say Bush because of my personal feeling on politics and ideology...but others will say otherwise or the same, all for different reasons. I hope you get the reaction you were hoping for.

Just as Democrats think Clinton was great and Republicans hated him, Republicans love GWB and Democrats hate him. When Clinton was president, the economy was great. Like breaking records great. With George W. Bush, the economy is low. The lowest its been since the Depression. I would say Clinton was better. But people think because he had an affiar that he was a terrible president and they don't focus on what he did to make America better. He lied once. And how many times has Bush lied? I've lost count by now. With Clinton, we could stop living in apartments and could afford a wonderful house. I can't help but wonder what Bush's presidency would be like if 9/11 never happened. Everything he's done for the 5 years after 9/11 is caused by 9/11.

Clinton. Balanced the budget. Shrunk the size of government. The economy grew tremendously during his watch. Saved the Muslims in Kosovo. Shot up a bin Laden training camp for an attempt on the life of former President Bush.

Like him or not, he was the best pure politician this country has ever seen.

Mr. Clinton, the economy was the best ever when he was in office. I can hardly stand to see GWB on TV. Can't wait till next election he's gone regardless. I voted for Gore and Kerry.

Depends on one's defn. of "Better". My vote would be slick-willie.

Clinton -> Balanced Budget (Surplus), Some Reduced Gov., Pure politician/diplomat, decent fgn policy and working with other countries. Country was NOT as divided.

W -> exact opposite on all items above. Wants to cram their morals down everybody's throat.

On the economy-- Pres. has very little real impact on the economy. But if you play that game, Clinton all the way.

In fairness to W though he has had to deal with:
- Country entering into slowdown/recession when he came into office.
- We got attacked-- That changed everything.
- Iraq is a mess and we didn't need to go there.

A recent poll found Clinton outperformed Bush in every category of importance, including who divided America the least. At his worst Clinton never achieved popularity polls in the low 40's.
