If there was such a thing as the curse of Gretzky, the Canadian national team wouldn't have won gold in the 2002 Olympics with the Great One as their coach. Curses are self-fulfilling prophecies. They only have power to those foolish enough to believe them.

no there isn't a curse. you know people didn't think the oil could win after wayne left for L.A. but they did win in 1990. the oil is just not firing on all cylinders yet. Edmonton will get the cup again just wait. i wonder about toronto though they have had a good teams over the years and they can't seem to make it past the second round lately. if t.m.l. won they're would be riots for a month straight but we just keep hoping it will be one of these years.

there is no such thing as a real curse. they're made up by people who were scared, dissapointed or couldn't find the right solution. every "evidenece" to what they call a curse will do, but a real curse doesn't exist, it's all in one's imagination!
so no, the Oilers are not cursed

No, they won after Wayne was traded in 1990 under the leadership of Mark Messier... they have been close, but with the salary cap, teams cant dominate anymore like they used to...
