That seems odd enough that I would bring it up with the pediatrician. Normally I would say the noises sound pretty normal, but it's a little strange that it never happens during the day. Babies that age shouldn't snore. Is there anything different about where he sleeps at night? The bed, or the A/C, or what he eats? I'm puzzled. I am contractually required to also make sure that you are always putting the baby to sleep on his back. *g* Sorry, I'm going into pediatrics. Congratulation on the birth of your son!

Until about three months, the most dominant experiences are those of digestion. My guess is she is working things out while asleep. All three of my girls did various things while asleep. They can stretch before they wake up, that produces grunting sometimes. They get hungry while still asleep, starts with tonguing then other noises. But most of the time it was either gas or an impending bowel movement.

Babies make noises. Enjoy every little peep... i have 5 kids and they all made different noises when they were newborn. my second to the oldest, who is 22 years old now, used to make a noise that sounded like a little goat or lamb... it was very cute.... i used to record some of the sounds so that when they got older they could hear what they sounded like so little.

She's NOT going to be a morning person! LOL. She will likely be a stand up comedian or take the place of the actress who plays Marge Simpson's sisters when she's a bit older. She is either dreaming or having a regular bowl movement although I suppose if it was the BM, you wouldn't have to ask. She's dreaming and humorous. Bless her heart!

My 3 month old has done that for as long as I can remember. Sometimes, it's gas, sometimes, she's just trying to release some pent up energy from the day.
Nothing to worry about.
