I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE, V6. I am selling it for 11,999 and willing to take close to 11,000 just to get rid of it. That is under the blue book value and its in great shape but NO ONE will even call on it. I put in on e-bay (bid only got to 9,300.00) it has been on Craigslist.org, cars.com, and autotrader.com since April. I have the cheapest price right now in autotrader and yet nothing. I am not trying to sell it for more than its worth that’s for sure so what’s the problem. I have spent so much advertising this car and don't know what else to do. Is there anymore free sites out there I can sell it to get the word out before my next payment is due again. I canceled the insurance this month so I am afraid to put it in a parking lot to sell incase it gets vandalized.

I think the price might be too high. You didn't give us any details about the car, e.g. the mileage. However, I think it could be because the price is too high for a 2002 Nissan Maxima. It doesn't matter if it's below blue book value...
... I would've taken the e-bay bid, but that's just me. Good luck on selling your car though!!

What you can do is put a sign on the car that says FOR SALE,2002 NISSAN MAXIMA,#OF MILIEAGE, And then the PRICE AND OFCOURSE YOUR PHONE NUMBER. LEAVE YOUR CAR IN THE STREET PARKING SPACES. I am sure someone will be interested. On craigslist make your posting attracting like your title should be MUST SEE! GREAT CONDITION 02 NISSAN MAXIMA! And on your post include pictures of your car. Write TRUE but POSITIVE comments about your car! good luck and i hope that someone buys your car!

Something you might want to try is looking in your newspaper for around you area...looking for adds as People who want a car like that. Sometimes people post it...they might take. Something you shoudl look for is someone who wants a car like that...they'll pay almost anything for what they want. Also, i've heard that the dealership SOMETIMES buys the car from you if they want that car. Try with a dealership around you that sells Nissans. I know a Chevy place that offered my brother money for his pickup....Maybe try adding something to the deal.....does it have a CD Player/system of some sort....did you have one it that you took out..might want to put it back in if you did. Im not sure, those are just some suggestions that ive heard worked for other people. Ohh, dont worry...your price sounds very reasonable for an '02 Nissan. They are foreign cars...and good on gas. Let the people your advertising it to know that it is a good car on gas! Which is a big money saver....so its worth it. Good Luck!

You never said how long you've been waiting, but you've got to be patient. Used, stock Nissans aren't exactly hot right now as far as the car fancy communities are concerned.
Otherwise, there's nothing to do but go to a dealership and trade it in on another car/motorcycle/whatever. If it really is as well-kept as you say and is being sold under value, someone is bound to recognize the bargain...how soon, though, I can't say.

if you live in a city--even small--and put the car at kelly blue book price-and if the condition is good, then it will sell. run a newspaper ad. i have sold 2 cars like this in the past eight months.

The problem is your price is too low. People are wondering why your selling for so cheap, they probably think there is something wrong with it.

Gosh, that seems like a lot of money for an 02.You have to remember that its a car and it has depreciated. I don't know just give it to your dad maybe he will give you something for it.

It might be because Nissans are foriegn, which are more expensive to fix up if anything happens.
