The thing about this is that there are too many excuses not to do it. To really get people motivated is to start in your neighborhood. Have a BBQ and write out something for the community to sign. Not only do you accomplish a goal you meet new people and eat all at the same time. It is a win win situation

I vote every election.

I am not an American.

However, if people say they don't vote, tell them by not voting they are accepting whoever gets in power and have no right to protest or complain.

The message has yet to be slipped into gangsta rap - therefore it will not reach the youth. It's up to us OLD people (30's) to get the message out-- and I like the idea about the BBQ-- nice...

i do all, but it is very hard to get people to focus and organize. try it sometime. watch a family try to go on vacation. then try to organize 200 people and get them to follow a plan. they like to sit around and complain. that's about it. even electing a popular chairman that people agree on causes a division and distraction.

public outcry doesn't always prompt change. i don't vote beacuse they are all the same and no good person will ever have true influence over the bad.
