Yes ... and a good part of the time, the cinematic remake does not do the show justice ... examples are as follows:
Beverly Hillbillies
Bean
The Avengers
Car 54, Where Are You?
Dukes of Hazzard
The Flinstones
Inspector Gadget
The Mod Squad
There are a couple exceptions to this observation, such as The Naked Gun, The Untouchables, and The Blues Brothers (from an SNL skit)

Yes. They're never as good as the originals. I still haven't forgiven them for ruining The Dukes of Hazzard, so I know I'm going to hate the Knight Rider and A-Team movies too.
I don't know why Hollywood doesn't get it that a little originality might help attract people back to theaters. It's the visionary movies that no one's seen before that become big hits.

There's quite a few & some of them are good to be remade while there are others that should be simpley left alone.

And remade badly.
I know there are loads and loads of great scripts out there, but A can't get to B.

Definately, It ruins them usually. Like Psycho, the omen, amityville. It seems like lots of them are old horror movies. Star Wars wasn't that great either. It ruins the memory of the old ones.

For many people the remake is the first time exposure to the show.

yes definitely and they all get such terrible reviews I don't know why they keep remaking all these movies. Latest example: the Omen.
