Do NOT put any type of ointment on the rash. What you want to do is cool it off. A cool bath or a cool shower will help with the stinging. I've heard that it is caused by the pores/sweat gland becoming clogged. I've been told that stri-dex helps (the same stuff that cleans zits from your face)...also hydrocortozone cream (NOT ointment--no oily stuff!) will help with the itching as will anti-histamines like benedryl and the like--so you will be able to sleep and not itch!

If there is a fever even after cooling off, you should see a doctor. And if the blisters get infected you'll need antibiotics.
