Honda CBR6004fi toolkit question.?

I bought a toolkit from ebay for my '01 4Fi and one tool I'm wondering what it does. May be a helmet lock. It looks like this:

Like a wire loop or something.

You guessed it. Loop the wire through the "D" ring of your helmet strap. It's a helmet holder extender to prevent your helmet from scratching the tail section.

Helmet holder extender thing. I think it goes through the D-ring on the helmet. Play with it a bit to figure it out. I haven't used one.
