Whats the average cost of replacing timing belt on a 1997 chev. cavalier ?

Need more info on what kind of car...engine size, etc...

Unless I miss my guess, it's a timing chain.

If its the 3.1, expect to pay 30. for a cheaper belt. Personally I would go to the dealer and get one there. That cost 68. 2 years ago for my lumina.
