Why are some Christians so intollerant of homosexuals?
Has it ever crossed your mind that maybe they are DEFENSIVE after people keep crucifying them? Your a hypocrite.

If you had enough people yell obscenities at you and tell you that you are going to hell, and do so in the name of Christianity and in the name of Jesus, you would probably have a hard time with Christians as well.
Many gay people are put off by religion because "some" people use it to judge gay people. Those same "Christians", however, do not feel the need to tell every other person on the planet (everyone is a sinner) that they are going to hell for their sins. It is not so much that gay people are intolerant of Christians, most gay people are Christians; it is the fact that you never know if someone is going to be kind to you or judge you.
It is hate cloaked behind religion. If being gay is a sin (I do not believe it is, God made us like this), then it is no different than telling a lie or any other common sin that EVERYONE commits.
He that casts the first stone..
Oh, and to all of you "Christians" who quote Leviticus (old testament), did you miss the passages just before the "man lying with man" that says if you wear any clothes made of more than one kind of material (which is all of us) you will burn in hell? I believe one just after that one says you should stone your children to death if they talk back to you.. come on, how can you pick and choose what you believe??

Okay, this is my answer. I think that some Christians are intolerant of homosexuals and some homosexuals are intolerant of Christians. So really, no one is in the right. We, Christians need to stop being so hypocritical and start helping and supporting homosexuals. I think it's wrong that we treat them, like their aliens, because they're people just like us. It doesn't matter if you don't agree with people's beliefs. Actually, that should make you want to care and support them.

Quote: "most gay people are Christians"
That is as far from the truth as it gets.
Also read something about "Christians want to change the way God made them."
That might be even further from the truth then the first quote.
Everyone is made by God and for God. It's by His grace that we are even alive. Each person is made in His image. Homosexuality is a very touchy and controversial subject to say the least. To say that God, however, created them to be this way is absolutely false. Yes, we are born sinful. Sin is like, genetic. That's why our appetite for sin is so immense. Homosexuality is not love. It's an expression of lust.
The Bible says God is love. If you don't know and live for God, you don't know love. It's that simple.
Romans 1:26-27
"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly..."
It goes on to describe as:
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
So this is where Christians are coming from. We do not hate homosexuals. In fact, if we cared nothing of them, there wouldn't be a word spoken about them. But God has called us to love them and, in doing so, warn them.

I believe they feel threatened by us because they know that deep down what they are doing is wrong. Their defense is that they are born gay, and yet I feel there is an inborn understanding that God gives us on right and wrong. Even without reading the bible they KNOW their way of life is not sanctioned by God and feel threatened and guilty around Christian. So many Christians are quick to judge and pass judgement when what we sound be doing is loving them as Jesus would have done and leaving judgement in Gods hands, where it belongs.

hahaha! Don't you mean "why are christians so intolerant of homosexuals?" christians want to change them from the way god made them to conform to what they dictate as how people should be. The only people jesus really seemed to hate were hypocrites, look out, christians!

Describe this intolerance. I don't know any gay people that are intolerant of Christians. They may resent them for telling them that they are going to hell, but they are in no way intolerant.

Homos are intolerant because they know they are totally guilty of perversion. And anything to do with the Lord scares them.
