It's only a small difference. My son was never small enough to fit into newborn. He was 10lbs 4oz and there was NO way he was going fit. My brother and sister both were premi clothes and they were 6lbs 7oz each.

Most babies gain a pound or two in the first week so newborn size is basically for babies that are 5-7 lbs and 0-3 mon sizes are for babies over that. It depends on the size of the baby at birth. My daughter wieged 5 lbs 10 oz and could wear newborn clothing for the first 3 weeks.

It depends on the brand. My son is 12lbs and still wears newborn clothes.

Sometimes 0-3 are the same size as Newborn, and sometimes 0-3 are HUGE compared to newborn.

very small difference. I have 2 kids and i learned with my 2nd to Buy 2 newborn sized things and the rest 0-3 months but not a lot, go with a lot of 3-6 month size. they grow fast.

I think it's the same thing, unless it's premie newborn, then there's an obvious difference. Maybe some say newborn 7-12 lbs....and some 0-3months say 8-13lbs....but you shouldn't necessarily go by the size on the tag kuz every brand's sizes will be different. Judge by the size yourself.

Only a small difference. I don't believe that a 9 lb baby would even fit in the newborn size.

Don't go by the age range on the clothes, go by the weight. My daughter was - and still is - very petite, and was still wearing "9-12 month" size when she was 18 months!
