world cup rules. do unconsecutive yellow cards = game suspension? Or do they have to be consecutive? also if they lose a player due to game suspension they don't play a man down the next game if that player is still suspended, correct?

In the group stage, two inconsecutive yellows = miss the next game. Two yellows in the same game = miss the rest of the game and group stage. Yellow cards don't carry over in the elimination rounds. Two yellow cards in the same game in the elimination round = sit out the rest of the game and possibly tournament.

Well, for the group stage two Yellows in any game (consecutive or not) means you miss the next game. I'm not sure what the rule is in the later stages. And yes, a suspended player cannot play but the team can substitute another player in his place for the next game.

I think it would be for the entire tournament.
