I want to see how they excuse the barbaric, inhuman treatment of these two soldiers. Let's hear them invoke the Geneva Convention or Human Rights with regard to the treatment of our two soldiers. These young men were not casualities of war. They were the victims of murder.

Refering to the anti-American crowd seems to have pushed a few buttons. By way of clarification: An American is a citizen of the United States of AMERICA. In common usage, the term anti-American describes persons, organizations or countries opposed to the United States, its citizens, government, foreign policies and in some cases, the very existance of the country.

My apologies to those who are anti-war and do not consider themselves anti-American. Honest descent is not only our right, it is our duty, but being anti-war because you are anti-Bush is not honest nor is it descent.

Oooops! That's dissent. Dissent, not descent.

You are actually seeing how they will spin it right before your eyes. All the media and anti-war clan has done since these two brave soliders bodies were found is talk about the mutilation, beheading, DNA testing, unnatural barbaric torture, and how only pieces of them were found. It is an absolute disgrace the way this has been covered. Yes, we need to know the realities of war, yes we need to all know this happened but why doesn't the media try to tell us a little bit about these two solidiers and the way they lived their lives. Why not hear more about how they lived. I definately am NOT trying to take away from the deplorable way they died - its outrageous and they need justice but I can't help feeling their deaths have been exploited by the media. As for the way the anti american factions will handle this. The exact way we would expect them to. Justify it with saying that americans kill Iraqi's everyday. Does anyone really think Syria, Iran, UAE, Saudi Arabia cared one bit about the abuse Saddam doled out to his own people? Of course not. No one will ever change Anti American sentiment - what needs to be done is to make them irrelevant. I believe when people come forward and actually condone this type of behavior that people who have even a little bit of intelligience start to disregard them.

Like the vast majority of people that are opposed to the war and think it is badly managed, I fully support our troops and feel they deserve our gratitude and respect for their valor, bravery, and courage. In the case of the two soldiers that were just killed my heart goes out to their families and fellow soldiers. There is no doubt that the barbaric treatment is inhumane.

The reason many of us oppose the war is because we are smart enough to remember history. Beirut, Lebanon was considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world in 1970. By 1980 it was in ruin by fighting between the factions in that country.

The factions in Iraq have been fighting for more than 1000 years. And the barbaric treatment has been common the entire time. Radicals that call themselves Muslims used to cut of the heads of children in front of the parents, then the wife in front of her husband before finally executing the husband. This is not the way of Islam but it is the way of the factions that have been fighting on and off for the last 10 centuries. And normally these people try to justify their behavior by saying it is required by Islam.

We all hope that there can be peace in Iraq. And that the people Iraq can prosper. Those of us that oppose the war are realists that understand the chance of peace is slim at best. And the cost will be very high.

The spin the anti-war crowd will put on this? 2 more valient men killed becuase we have a president that is incompetent and who will not listen to generals like former Colin Powell on how a war like this will be prosecuted.

Those of us that oppose the war are true Americans. We believe in the right of nations to self detemine their course of government. without intervention from other powers. We believe in the right of free speech for all people. (even war hawks)

For 9 generations my fore-fathers have fought and served in the american military. 2 before there was a flag. My father was a marine which is why I served in the USMC as well. Most of the poeple that I see advocating this war are the ones that have never been on the field of battle. Those people that have had to fix bayonetts think very carefully before advocating any war.

There is no such thing as 'anti-American crowd' .... you probably meant 'anti-United Statesian crowd'

You should remember there are 840 million Americans in the world, of those only 280 million are United Statesians.

[edited to add] "These young men were not casualties of war" you are absolutely right, the war ended 4 years ago, since we have been involved in the OCCUPATION of Iraq.

I believe Bush is doing the right thing over there, but call it what it is, an occupation not a war. The moment the Iraqi armed forces were defeated the war ended and the occupation begun.

OH MY GOD dude to say that those that are anti war are also anti american pretty much says that you are a brainwashed mindless fool who only believes what fox news tells you. it was a tragedy that these young men died but no more a tragedy than the other 2500 plus deaths that have occured during this unnessary war. do you really think that saddam hussein was a threat to us. after 9/11 the entire civilized world was with us. supporting us. but now that we went to iraq the whole world see us as bullies . us attacking iraq for 9/11 would be like us attacking greenland for pearl harbor. but i dont believe you will understand or care to believe that we who are against this war are true americans who follow the american tradition of protesting what we believe to be wrong . to say we are unamerican would be like saying thomas jefferson and george washington were unamerican. that is our right as an american to protest....if you dont believe so, then you might as well move to russia where you follow blindly what the government says or die.

I completely agree with you...but I think that this will be dealt with in the media much like Zarqawi being killed....it was totally downplayed as though it was not a big deal....and noone seemed to realize that all this time liberals have been saying there is no Iraq-Al Qaida connection....and where was he killed? I suppose he was just passing through. I suppose he's was only there now because of the invasion of Iraq.....although Bush was blamed for not "removing" him in Iraq in 2000, or 2001...BEFORE the invasion...
These two soldiers were brutally murdered, but it wasn't by US soldiers, so to liberals, it's probably ok.....I bet they even think they deserved it, like some of them think we deserved 9-11.

The torture and murder of these soldiers is inexcusable and absolutely horrific. Those responsible must be tracked down and held accountable. That said, why do you characterize the antiwar "crowd" as antiAmerican? What's wrong with disagreeing with the idea of war? It's arrogant mudslingers such as yourself who distort civil debate about issues. You want to support the troops? Quit being a partisan sh!thead and call things on the facts.

The terrorist violated the Geneva Convention as well. What they did was no better than the nazis. If they want their troops to be humanely treated then they should do the same. This is a horrible thing for the families and that my heart goes out to them.
