First, if you know, let us know what kind of orchid it is. Second, stand the plant in water(have the top of the pot just below the surface of the water) for 20 minutes. During this time, snip off any yellow or dead leaves at the base of the plant and any dead flowers. If you really want your orchid to thrive, get SuperThrive and some Liquid Seaweed to feed your plant. Soak your orchid once a week with a capfull of each in the water. My orchids are mucho happy because of this stuff. ;) During the week, spray your plant in the morning. If you can, use distilled water. Makes for a happier plant. If you can find an orchid dealer or club in your neighborhood, they can help you with your new jewel. Orchids are really quite a lovely thing to keep. Good luck!

You should do a search on Y!Answers for "orchids". There's a lot of info -- mine included.

Water when the "soil" is dry. Don't let them sit in water; they don't like to be wet. Bright indirect light is usually safe.

First, orchids grow on trees and should not be planted in dirt.
A mister can be used to water them.
They like indirect sunlight, like a forest.

Have fun!

I think if he gives her something totally inapropriate eg. a piece of clothing that he knows very well will not fit her. Then the woman will be insecure about herself and would difenitely think of it as a msg to lose weight. Which could be totally wrong, as she may be gorgeous as she is.
