Has anyone on here gotten pregnant while using the pill (used correctly, same time each day, no skipped days, etc.) in combination with a condom? If so, if anyone can share their experiences that would be great!

Basically, the ultimate contraceptive measure is abistenance. However, most couples use other measures in combination to increase its effectivity. In many time it may escape from them and pregnancy occurs.
THis may be due to either, hormaonal irregularuty in the female (so the ovulation occurs which is inhibited by the pills) or leakage if the semen with sperms from the condom during the intercourse.

The use of birth control (when taken correctly) is approximately 99% effective in preventing pregnancy. The use of a condom itself, on the other hand, is slightly less effective than the pill, approximately 95-98% accurate when used correctly. You can imagine that combining the two correctly is highly effective in preventing pregnancy and STDs. Unfortunately, nothing is guranteed. I'm not an expert just one that uses the same method. After speaking to my doctor about this he highly recommended this method. If you are unsure if this method is right for you ask a doctor.

Sorry to say my first son was conceived that way. I have no idea how, but it happened. I guess it's just what god wanted. HOwever, if you are in this situation beware no medical official will believe you. For some reason they seem to think an adult who is married and has one child already would want to lie about this. I was completely floored and scared through the whole thing because I never could understand y. NOw that he's here I understand y. Being strict catholics there is no way we would have fessed up to using birthcontrol for any reason other than trying to find out how.

I am 8 weeks pregnant and took my bc pills religiously at the same time. I even had my cell phone alarm set so that if I was out or something I would not forget - that was how serious I was about taking them. But I guess God wanted another baby in the world and I am married so ya know....it was fine.

Thats how my son got here! lol I was on ortho tri cyclen at the time and we were using trojan condoms. My hormone levels defected the pill, atleast thats what the dr told us. Apparently my gynecologist didnt make sure my body was compatible with the pill. WOOPS!! How those little suckers got around the condom is beyond me. We NEVER had unprotected sex.

i do no longer think of you'll be pregnant if the condom did no longer wreck and you took the pill good after. i do no longer think there is any thank you to get pregnant if no semen entered you and you used the emergency contriception additionally.
