Oh yeah, I've had those deja' vu instances many times. Especially if it happens to be an older place, maybe a place with some history or legend behind it. Sometimes it's just nothing more than a coincidence, other times, who knows a leap into something that might have occurred in your past?
I don't think anyone really knows or understands fully what cases those feelings. It could be something you have lived before if you believe in reincarnation and past lives, it could be that you saw that place or had been to that place when you were younger and only by seeing it or going to it again did it bring back that past memory from your childhood.

Me I believe in Past lives and reincarnation. But that's just me and my opinion on things.

I don't have a been there before, but I feel more comfortable in certain surroundings. Especially if they resemble the distant past. Plus, I have this thing going on with strings. I like to have strings around. Sometimes I will make stuff, buts mostly just like having strings and things. I need to go see a psychic about past life reading.

déjà vu-
a feeling of having experienced something before, although in fact it is the first time that it has been experienced
its of French origin- "Already seen"

.Déjà vu once referred exclusively to the illusion of having been somewhere before or having done something before: Entering the house for the first time, she had an eerie sense of déjà vu. Recently, however, it has come to encompass as well the reality of repetitiveness in events or actions: As they began to discuss which route was best, he had a distinct sense of déjà vu. This sense of the word has been extended still further, until the turnaround from the original meaning is almost complete and déjà vu is sometimes also used to describe tedium: Gray winter days bring on déjà vu.

That is called deje vu. It is when your unconscious mind passes your conscious mind by a few seconds for a short time. The effect is that you seem to remember what you are doing at the time as an event in the past.
