Now what in the world is this all about that rap is crap and rock rocks! Bull!! and evryone knows that! It must be becuse i am in the wrong part of new york because evryone likes freakin rock and rock is so stupid. Rap is so much more than what y'all hear. If you go to oldschoolrap.com and find some of the real rappers and listen for a while, you'll see rap diffrently

I just don't like rap because it doesn't seem like music to me. I mean, it has a beat...but no melody and no harmony. I'm a musician, so music makes a lot of difference to me. Some rap has good beats, but I almost never like the lyrics.
I absolutely love rock for it's musical value and great lyrics....what I've heard of rap is mostly about killing people and having sex...so I can't say that I like it at all.

Don't let them get to ya, hun. Some people are so closed minded they start dissin' on things before they even know what's up. I'm 100% into rap, but I can listen to others too. It's good to have variety in your life, people need to start to realize that.

i think both are pretty good. rock nowadays is blowin up and so has rap/hip hop. both genres are good in their own sense and we all have our own ears to hear what music we like. for me personally, its both cool. sometimes you want to just have fun and dance, theres hip-hop. if you're a bit angst and angry, theres rock or if you need love (in a good sense), then theres some rap and rock who can provide that. so just be open to all kinds of music. maybe rock will change your perspective on that particular genre.

I like the beats in rap, but the lyrics suck all about bad messages. That's one reason our youth today are so messed up!

Every one is entitled to their own opinion,but I think that hip hop, pop , r&b and gospel aer all of the music that makes the world go around.People need to expand thier musical horizons.
