Whoa, you really need to grow up. Do you think that you can afford to live on your own? You have your whole life to cut your hair or wear make up. They are trying to stop you from growing up too fast and that's a good thing.

Are you kidding? Just based on what your complaints are, you may have a VERY difficult time getting a judge to grant you emancipation.... even at 17! Are you sure you're not 13? You don't have much more time in getting to have this carefree time, why would you want to get out from under it?
Just so you can wear makeup? Your daddy cannot keep you form cutting your hair, though.. and if you need a job for cash, get one! I've been working since I was 13 and never expected my daddy to pay my way.. I even paid rent to HIM as a teen! And, as my kids were teens and had jobs, they paid the same amount of rent as me! it was 25% of their check or 25 dollars, whichever was less.. that was PER WEEK!
Grow up.

you don't!! lol this is funny from a grown up perspectives...you think you have it bad because your parents won't let you wear make up? i don't think any court on earth is going to emancipate you based on that, see they are busy with children that are beaten, molested, starved to death, deserted, dirty and abused in any number of horrible ways! you need to grow up some and be grateful that you have parents that care enough to notice whether or not you are wearing makeup!! you poor put upon child your parents care what happens to you! it must be awful!

if you really think you have it so bad watch the news any day of the week see what abused children look like and what happens to them....then read the newspaper, find out how much rent is in your area, then ask your mean parents how much the utilities (that means water, sewage, heat, electricity little things like that) cost each month, oh and then there are car payments and insurance, cable tv and the internet connection you are using to post this question, oh and the food you eat everyday too, go to the grocery store with your mom and find out what that costs...figure all that out and see if you really think your job will cut it and know that aside from not allowing you to look like a tramp your awful parents take care of all that for you, in fact you probably don't even know ALL of those bills exist, all that mail they get is just love notes!

believe me once you get out in the real world and are responsible for all that stuff yourself you will be longing for the days when someone else worried about all this. and then there is the very day you have children of your own, by the time you've been in labor a couple of hours you instantly forgive your mother for anything she ever did because you suddenly realized what she went through just to get you here!

At 17 all you have to do is move out. You have a job, so study hard and learn how to budget and take care of yourself outside the parental home. Life isnt a picnic out here though, in my opinion there is less freedom out here than there is in there...lol

You should contact a lawyer who deals with family and ask what you need to do as per your state. You are 17 though - why not just wait it out until you turn 18.
