Stairway to Heaven is obviously the best song ever. It's by Led Zeppelin. It starts off quiet with a flute in the background. Between verses Jimmy Page plays a quiet interlude that is mezmorizing. "And it makes me wonder..." Then, near the end, brace yourself for the best guitsr solo ever. Plant nearly screamsn his lungs out at the end. Then it stops, and the last thing that you hear is Plant singing sofly, "And she's buying a stairway to heaven..." Eight-plus minutes of angelic beauty, man. It's unbelievably awesome. It's like God himself was playing this song.
Oh, and it's the best song of all time. Not only for rock, but against everything, from rap to, I don't know, techno.

Buy the CD "Machine Head" by Deep Purple. Every song is good off that album.
