In the English version, as far as i can rem, it centers around a happy couple travellin in there car and the woman gets abducted from a petrol station, he spends years tryin 2 find out what happened, eventually he gets buried alive in a coffin, just like his woman, english name and french pls, maybe disappear r somethin like, help pls, saw the fr 1 years ago and want 2 c it again, brill, eng vers not that good though

The Vanishing, the DUTCH original is by the same director and called Spoorloos. Based on the book The Golden Egg (if that is the title; it's literally translated from the dutch) by Tim Krabbe. Yes, he's the brother of actor Jeroen Krabbe.

its called "the vanishing" i think the original was belgian or dutch. it was bloody terrifying, much scarier than the remake
