I have had a friend for 7 years, she very generous, she has her attitude as well...well just recently i invited her to my b-day which was at my house , with my other friends, people were drinking, chilling, it was a "kickback" at my house, so there were a couple of smokers there too... anyway she didnt show up and said "thats not my type of thing" , i mean, 2 months prior to that i went to a Spanish club which i really dont like going to clubs, let along SPANISH clubs... not just that but my "husband" HATED the fact that i was going (he was at work) and I STILL WENT because i wanted to be there for her, i stayed for maybe 1 hour to 2 hours and departed..... but basically, i after knowing she wasnt gonna attend , i got soooooooooooooo mad, i havent talked to her since... did i exaggrate? i just spoke to her to let her know how i felt, that i felt bad , and she basically responded with "well if you wanna take it like that , then take it like that" , what do i do? drop her huh???

I was in a similar situation. You shouldn't call her anymore, let her call you and take it from there. If she can't be as good of a friend to you as you are to her, then you don't need her in your life.

If that's not her thing then I don't blame her for not wanting to come. It sucks to be the only sober one at a party for some people. I can have fun anywhere...so that doesn't bother me. Some people aren't as social as others. I would decide how much I would miss her before I dropped her. Everyone has flaws we don't like. Some we can deal with, some we can't. It's your call!

If by "kickback" smokers you mean "weed" you have no right to be mad at her- she made a SMART decision by not getting involved with that crowd-

Last time I checked Spanish and illegal drugs are totally different things- and If you were my friend having a party with loser pot heads I would not have attended either!

If you value her friendship then just blow it off, And You failed to mention if she gave you a B-card or gift. Maybe there was someone there that offended her and she doesnt want to cause a rift between the two of you, There maybe a many different underlying reason for her actions..

It was great that you went to her thing...and at least she let you know she did not feel comfortable because she was just being honest and you have to respect that bc she could have just not shown up... just talk it through and agree not to go to each others things if you are not comfortable and figure out ways to do things you both enjoy!

I am sorry most people are not like us. They do not go out of their way to make others happy. If your wrong or right it depends on who you ask someone who would act like her or you. I have found most of my "friends" do the same thing. If I stop talking to them then I would have no friends. Good Luck.

Chill out, sit down, and breathe girl!!!!
C-o-m-m-u-n-i-c-a-t-e with your friend, but be respectful and direct. I am sure you will work things out just fine. And if she is a true friend, everything will turn out ok anyways.

Try yoga maybe...
lol
