There is no such thing as "mexican". The language is called Spanish and, no, it is not stupid to want speak it. You should try to learn it, then you would be able to get to know hispanic cultures and make friends with those who speak in what now sounds to you like a funny accent. By the way, not everyone whose native language is Spanish hails from Mexico. Check out an Atlas.

It's more of a worry that you don't realize that "Mexican" isn't a language. Role modeling yourself after Jack Black may be really tricky as well because he has an amazing amount of natural talent!

Mexican is a nationality or a type of food not a language. I think you should learn the language maybe it will open you eyes.

No, but what is stupid is that you called it mexican. The language is called spanish. thats like saying you want to learn american when its really called english.

I can think of better motivations but whatever it takes. Learning a second language can never hurt no matter what the reason is for learning it.
