What's that clicking sound I hear when visiting some websites?

It sounds like I'm clicking on a link, but that's not the case. Nor am I refreshing the page.

the page probably has some script on it that is refreshing some part of the page automatically.

I have that too on Windows XP. It's a sound your system has. Go to the Control Panel. Go to sounds and look in there.

It's probably just something that the person who made the site put in. Most of the people who make sites think they have to personalize it. If it gets annoying just do what I do, shut off your speakers.
