Don't know anything about horses.
But I did study abroad in Scotland in college. (There were students from all over the UK) I found the people to be really cool -- they were so friendly & open and I made so many friends so quickly.
I had a friend who went to Germany and kinda had a crappy time. He found the Germans to be kinda cold & unfriendly & most of his friends were other Americans or Brits also studying there.
I'm not slamming the crouts, that's just one person's experience!

England, no real reason but the english seem to have more of a horse culture than germany does
