When there old enough to be responsible with it, and when they can start to contribute to paying the bill. (I was working and making money when I was old enough to push mow a yard.) SO I think somewhere around there 8th grade school year would be the best.... I know kids that are in 6-7 grade and I'm not sure they could handle the responsibility of having one............But thats just my Opinion.

I got mine when I was 12. I had to give my parents lots of good reasons like how I was responsible, but the main reason I got it was so that when I needed to stay after school I could call my parents and let them know. Of course now i use it all the time, but usually when you get in middle school ( 6th or 7th grade) you should get one. tell your parents it helps keep you safe because they can always know where you are.

i think when they've entered middle school or going into 7th grade...you shouldn't really take my opinion though since I'm 14 but I do think when they're in 7th grade would be a great time to give them one

when they start goin places with friends and start havin 2 stay after school for things like clubs, practice. pretty much when they enter middle school

when they can start taking at least the can cal there parents if anythings wrong, and especially in a situation where both parents aren't living together

Unless they're in a lot of extracurricular activities, they don't need one till they can pay for it themselves.
