The very best break up song of all time is Chicago's "Stronger Every Day" - bar none, in my opinion. Particularly if you still like each other and it is a shame that it won't work out.

I don't know about healing, but when I was heartbroken and felt like dying I listened to Broken by Seether and Amy Lee (of Evanescense) over and over and over again. Crying til I couldn't cry anymore. I'm sorry if you're hurting. Best wishes to you.
