when a chicken lays an egg does it come out a hole then it goes to the bathroom out of?

i know it's a silly thing to be asking, but my friends and I have been arguing about this for two days.

Yep it sure does. Eggs get washed before they hit the cartons but everynow and then you can see something got ....missed. I usually rinse my eggs just before I use them.

The egg actually does come out of the same "hole" as the uric acid and feces (pee and poo) all exit.

Eggs exit a female bird via the cloaca, so care must be taken to avoid the egg shell becoming contaminated with fecal matter.

Chickens only have one "hole"- called a Cloaca. Eggs, poop, pee- it's all from the same place. All bird species are this way. That's why when a bird poops on your car, it looks like a liquid with solid chunks in it- all the liquid and solid waste matter was combined.

no...i don't think so. i'm pretty sure a female chicken is like a female human...the female human doesn't give birth thru the same opening she passes waste. i think the chicken has a seperate opening for laying eggs.

Basic biology says no. The female chicken has the equivalent of a vagina.

yes they come out of the same hole. we butcher chickens n the layers you can see. so wash the egg before u eat it

yes, as a girl, my dad raised chickens, and we had to wash the eggs, sometimes they would have waste on them. but usually not, no matter what, we allways cleaned them!
