Yes he was concieved out of wedlock actually! His mother never really knew who his father was, wookies are notoriously promiscuous. She had sex with at least 40 other wookies in one week alone, so she basically told chewy that his father died in a pod racing accident. She was extremely drunk the week she slept with so many other wookies as she was also an alcoholic and had a problem with drugs too. Poor Chewy didn't have the best upbringing I'm afraid!
