I'm sick of it because the only thing it does is put people down and some people who are the American Idol caqn't even sing. I like So You Think You Dance better.

I am! Most defiantly fed up. First of all it is all based on "Talent" hip hop nature. One contestant sung opera beautifully, just because a lot of kids these days don't listen to it does not mean she was bad. She hit high and low notes as if she had been performing in Broadway shows for years. But they put her in the suck category because she didn't fit "Todays" taste of music. They clam to open a plethora of opportunity to all singers but criticize and belittle those who have unique quality. The show is unfair and as far as I'm concerned, just another way to pollute young viewers with opinionated criticism; stereo typing what is supposed to be beautiful and accepted in today society!

No kidding. It's shallow, musically barren, and reminds me of a junior high school clique. "Let's see which one of these utterly interchangeable performers we can gang up on to toss off the show today." And since The Weakest Link vanished, people tune in to get a vicarious thrill from watching hopeful performers get their dreams crushed by that one nasty judge. It's like Jerry Springer with singing.

american idol is the stupidest show on the planet earth and the only good part is the first tryouts where u get to watch all of the idiots make fools of themselves muahahahaha

I wish we had never heard of SIMON COWELL
or what ever his name is.....
I have never watched the show and I never will....
I was tired of hearing about it after the first week it was on...........

I agree. it's a marketing machine that I wish would go away. Especially Taylor the Hick, just go away ... please, you move like a white guy and sing like a bad karoake singer.
