I think I would like to be a porpoise, assuming I could be healthy, and asthmatic porpoise would probably drown way too soon. Second choice is a horse, a nice gray-haired stallion.
Reminds me of a joke. Two preachers died and went to heaven but the angel at the gate said, "Your places aren't ready, you were supposed to die the way you did, but a couple of weeks from now. You get to go back for two weeks as anything except a human." One said he wanted to be an eagle then, poof, he was gone. The other got a sinister smile, thought of horses, and said, "I want to be a stud." Poof, he was gone. Time passed and someone came to the angel at the gate and said the places are ready for those two preachers that died early, where are they? The angel said, "For the first one, just go by Crater Lake, Oregon and look for the happiest bald eagle around." The angel was prodded for the whereabouts of the other and the angel finally admitted, "Well, there was a big housing boom and I can't remember which house I put him in." [stud is another word for a 2x4 piece of lumber used to frame houses, the story also used to work with snow tires, "It was a long winter"]

My horse, she has the life, she gets a beautiful pasture to roam and play in and a barn that supplies plenty of shelter, she has many friends, she has a big heart, I feed her top quality feed and hay and give her plenty of treats, she gets to go swimming, or for walks on the beach, she gets her exercise everyday, she goes to the spa all the time (okay well she gets her hooves done every six weeks and groomed daily), she gets new tack every so often heck sometimes I think my mare has it better than me! So if I could be one animal, I would be my horse....that is to say if she had an owner like me...

A human being. We're all animals. Why ? I'm kind of used to being one. I've never been anything else, so I can't say that I would like being something else. There could be many surprises that we don't know about, and the animals aren't telling us much about their secret problems.

I would be a cheetah, because I can beat anybody and anything in a race, it'll be more challenging to beat another cheetah.
