You need to cover the four skills equally - Listing, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
Listen
- to the news, to other peoples conversations but especially films and the television because they are enjoyable and help you see what is going on at the same time.
Read
- magazines, comics, books and newspapers - you don't have to know every word, just skip the ones you don't know and you'll build up a much better general understanding.
Write
- write letters to people, practice translating things from your own language, maybe try creative writing and write a poem or story.
Speak
- practice speaking to people on the bus and in your year - I'm sure they'll be interested to find out more about you! And don't be shy, go for it, and say words you think are probably right if you're not 100% sure
Good Luck!

Maybe look for chance to visit an English speaking country which uses English as their main language, if this is feasible for you. If not then try to get friendly with someone online and email them. Ask them to correct any mistakes in your text. A friend of mine from Spain did this and it really helped him.

My suggestion is to watch as much television and movies from American pop culture. Movies and TV will allow you to hear actual conversational English and you can practice by repeating lines that you hear.

Well...to speak it....you have to speak it....practice, practice, practice. Really no other way to get good at it except through repeating.
