S class is the sweetest mb out there. The problem i have seen in the past is odometer resetting. Get educated, know what its worth. Pull a car fax. Do your homework on interest rates, check how much insurance is going to cost you. I'm very well off but a penny saved is a penny earned. Edmond's, kbb, are just a few web sites to check before you should part with your hard earned money.

I like the choice of having my car maintained at a garage of my choice. Most new Mercedes have a onboard computer that will not allow this and persistently need re-programming at a premium. Some models don’t even have a oil sump screw so you can change the oil. I would stay away from any newer model Mercedes. There is a reason why the newer models values plummet once they out of warranty..... Its the agents not giving the consumer choice and over charging for repairs and services. To top it off I have yet to find a Mercedes agent that has managed to reprogram my car without causing another problem. I recommend you look at a classic Mercedes. I foresee their value will skyrocket as long as you maintain them properly.

Yes, S-Class Mercedes will always be a good investment. It will run forever and always look classy. I bought a BMW, but would like a Merc.

Out of those form of German manufacturers i think of Audi is the nicest to rigidity. yet it is a query purely you could answer - you could desire to attempt all of them and see what you like and which inserts YOU appropriate. Asking random strangers to spend your 55k is basically stupid, as isn't procuring a motor vehicle basically in view which you detect it to be an 'previous guy motor vehicle'.
