What kind of recruiter?

Recruiter for the armed services?

HR Recruiter for companies?

Headhunter?

In any of these cases you are trying to find a match between the company or organization and the individual. Sometimes, you will be pressured by the organization or company to get a fit quick. You may run into situation where the people you have available aren't quite the best fit and you have to pursuade the company to take them anyway. You may also run into situations where a person is the perfect fit, but they are looking for something different and you need to try to pursuade them to take the job anyway.

You need to be a pursuasive individual and good at negotiating.

YES; my husband was a recruiter for the Marines for two years. He couldn't WAIT to get out of that. The hours are pure hell, sometimes he was at the office well into the night. You have to visit people at their homes, visit high schools and colleges, and there is a lot of paperwork involved in enlisting someone into the military. Oh, and don't forget about quotas. If you don't meet your monthly quota for recruits, there are consequences.

Well since you are in the small businesses section , I would assume you talking about businesses that recruit people - like the pyramid scheme. If you bring somebody then they will bring somebody and YOU supposed to make money. Well thats what it looks to me and I think Not only that its hard, its also no necessary, those companies that want you to recruit is a scheme and you'll end up loosing all your money..

Well, Yehh, your question is not clear to me. I would assume that your'are talking about recruting in technological companies.
Well, my boss is a recruter. It's not easy, but everything comes to you with an experience of course. You have to make a lot of personal contacts and be prepared to have a very good personality and connect with people. Knowledge of the field of course should be excellent as anywhere you work. So, I think that is it.
