My husband recently began thinking about getting circumcised. Oddly enough i've never been with a circumcised man and didn't really know how to respond when he told me he was thinking about having it done? Is it really any different at all? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Well any answers/advice would help really.

Circumcision is an outdated torture that should be abolished. It does nothing to help the function of the penis and actually loses some of the nerves in the penis. I am intact and love it and I have had no complaints From anybody I have been with. The main thing is to teach the young boys how to keep their penis clean and they will have no hygiene problems and better sex because of the extra nerve tissue and I have also heard that the pleasure of sex decreases when you are cut after being intact all your life

Why is he thinking of getting circumsized??? As far as the sex, it should feel the same for you because the penis head gets uncovered with an erection anyway...not much difference there. Some guys who have been circumsized as adults say the sex was marginally better for them when they were uncircumsized. I really can't see much reason for circumcision, especially as adults. Most of us of my generation had it done as infants but we didn't have any choice. It's no big deal with me but if I had my choice as a baby and could talk I would have told that doc to get the f--k away from my little weenie. In fact I'd tell the doc the same thing today! LOL

Many people seem to have a problem with the cut/uncut topic, as far I know, the only one to make that decision should be your husband, if he wants to do it because sex is painful (sometimes it is because if a tight foreskin) then go ahead and do it, if he's doing it because the "american mentality" (to be like the "normal" guys) then I think it should be your turn to tell him that you felt in love with the person "as it is" not because ihe is or not circumcised. On the other hand, if he enjoy sex, has no problem to be uncut, then why bother to spend money and go through the pain and scars?

A circumcised man will have less problems of bacteria infections.
On the other hand, I would have them cut a sculpture of Bob Hope on the head or give him a full metal jacket helmut skin cut;..
