Highville is in Lancaster County, which supported George W. Bush in the last two presidential elections. According to unofficial vote totals for 2004, Bush received 144,291 votes and John Kerry received 73,395 votes.

In the November 2000 election, Lancaster County strongly supported Bush. Countywide, 115,900 people voted for Bush and 54,968 voted for Gore. Nader received 3,341 votes.
