they are comsidered seprate nations according to FIFA. So they can have their own national team.

Apart from that whole (faintly ridiculous, by the way) nationhood thing, if there was a Team UK, the fans, if not the players, would kill each other long before the first game began. This is a generalisation, but a pretty fair one - most of the other countries each hate England for one reason or another, so the likelihood of a UK team are very very very very very very very small...
