Yes you can definitly put a boost chip in the nextels Blackberry's, you will be able to read sms/text messages but sending them is a little tricky...you will defintly lose the special features of the blackberry,

it should but you may not be able to use all the features without the blackberry subscription. you may also have to have it debranded but that is very chancy with a blackberry with all the security they have on them. a debrand may wipe the phone.
