about 3 years ago i was diagnosed with a small cyst on my ovary. but they said it was fine and thought nothing of it.
anyway lately ive been very ill, suffering from constipation, awful stomach pains, sexual intercourse is painful. my doctor has been treating me for chronic constirpation. but i am starting to think maybe this cyst has grown really large and maybe causing the problems?
does anyone have a large cyst etc and what sort of symptoms do u have?
i cant carry on like this i get married soon :( and im always ill!

you need to get an ultrasound scan to be sure about this cyst but other things could cause your symptoms. chronic constipation is just a likely. try drinking warm water in the morning and get a hot water bottle on your tummy to soothe and soften. a warm bath will help too. you need to see a dietician to change your diet. you may have too much or too little fibre in your diet. the stress of your pending marriage won't help either so get a massage and some relaxation tapes.

I have had a couple that ruptured and that was pain full. Most cyst grow on the ovary, fill up with fluid and some rupture while others just sit there & do nothing.
Ask your Dr. to send you for a sonogram and make sure they have not gotten out of control. Also ask your Dr if taking birthcontrol pills (IF you can take them) will help. My daughter would have them rupture every month and the pill helped.
If your GYN is not giving you the answers you want & your not getting any relief I would suggest a 2nd opinion.

Good Luck!

I have polycysitic ovarian disease which is a number of ovarian cysts which come and go, your best thing to do is go to doctors explain about cyst say you are worried incase it has grown and they will make an appointment for you to go for a scan
